Зустрівся з нашими військовими пілотами, які проходять навчання в Міжнародній школі підготовки пілотів у Канаді. Хлопці навчаються, щоб бути готовими опанувати сучасні винищувачі, зокрема F-16 та «гріпени», і посилити українську бойову авіацію. Робимо все для захисту неба, і головне для цього – хороші та вмотивовані пілоти. Пишаємося, що в нас в Україні, в наших Збройних Силах є саме таке покоління молодих льотчиків. Дякую Канаді, усім інструкторам і навчальному центру за якісну підготовку.

I met with our military pilots who are training at the International Test Pilots School in Canada. The guys are training to master modern fighter jets, including F-16s and Gripens, and strengthen Ukraine’s combat aviation. We’re doing everything we can to protect our skies, and the key to that is having good, motivated pilots. We’re proud that Ukraine and our Armed Forces have a generation of young pilots like this. I thank Canada, all the instructors, and the training center for providing high-quality training.

Хороша й щира розмова з представниками української громади в Торонто. Україна та Канада мають історично міцні відносини, які ми зараз виводимо на значно сильніший рівень. Це доводять і щоденна підтримка людей, і рішення на рівні лідерів: підписана декларація про сторічне партнерство, є важливий пакет оборонної допомоги та розпочата робота над Drone Deal. Важливо й надалі підтримувати цю єдність, тиснути на Росію санкціями і просувати чітке розуміння у світі, що безпека України – це безпека ЄС і НАТО. Вдячний усій нашій громаді за те, що вже 135 років вона береже своє коріння та адвокатує допомогу Україні. І дякую, що ви готові робити ще більше для України та її незалежності.

A good and heartfelt conversation with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Toronto. Ukraine and Canada have historically strong ties, and we are now taking them to a much stronger level. This is proven by the daily support of our people and by decisions at the leaders’ level: the Declaration for a 100 Year Partnership that we signed, an important defense support package, and the work now underway on the Drone Deal. It is important to keep this unity strong, continue pressuring Russia with sanctions, and promote a clear understanding around the world that Ukraine’s security is the security of the EU and NATO. I’m grateful to our entire community for preserving its roots and advocating for Ukraine over the past 135 years. And thank you for being ready to do even more for Ukraine and its independence.
